From steam traps, steam tables, steam calculators and steam valves, to condensate pumps, PRVs, control valves, air vents and more—we have it all.

As a global leader in steam and condensate products, Armstrong is on the forefront of technology and innovation. Our development and introduction of groundbreaking products continues to result in superior, intelligent solutions, such as our: SAGE® steam dashboard and database management software, AIM® and SteamEye® wireless monitoring systems, and Steam QM-1 and Steam QM-3 steam quality monitors. We also offer Verabar® and Accelabar® for the most consistent, accurate and reliable steam flow monitoring.

More than a century of in-depth knowledge and experience enables us to manage your steam and condensate requirements better than anyone in the world. Armstrong provides reliable, hardworking products that trap steam, and much more. We can help you drain liquids from gases and vent gases from liquids, across a wide range of fluids. We provide pressure and temperature control products, condensate pumps, strainers, isolation valves, and refrigeration system purgers to keep your systems working efficiently and effectively. Armstrong also offers packaged system solutions, ranging from pressure reduction stations to steam distribution and condensate collection manifolds and condensate recovery systems.

Armstrong products consistently deliver best-in-class quality, longevity and value. We provide outstanding technical support and service, as well as training and education through Armstrong University. Our factory-trained sales representatives are backed by Armstrong's in-house specialists, so we are always ready to assist you, even with the most difficult requirements.

The Steam Trapping and Tracing Equipment category consists of three groups of products-steam traps, steam tracing systems and automatic differential condensate controllers (DC).

Energy costs continue to rise. Increasing right along with them is the awareness—greater than ever before—of how important steam trap maintenance is to conserving energy and saving dollars. But awareness is one thing. Action is another. Energy users at every level are still beset with problems that are products of outdated thinking and misplaced priorities:

Armstrong’s stainless steam filters are designed for filtering steam to yield low differential pressure at high flow rates and are suitable for process steam and culinary steam applications. Steam filter elements are commonly regenerated to reduce pressure drop, remove settled contaminants, and prevent permanent contamination buildup.

Energy costs continue to fluctuate. Increasing right along with them is the awareness—greater than ever before—of how important steam trap maintenance is to conserving energy and saving dollars. But awareness is one thing, action is another. Energy users at every level are still faced with problems that are products of outdated thinking and misplaced priorities:

Condensate recovery allows you to use all of the valuable Btu within the steam system. Depending on the pressure, condensate leaving a trap contains approximately 20% of the heat energy transferred at the boiler in the form of sensible heat.

Condensate recovery systems help you reduce three tangible costs of producing steam:

Armstrong pressure reducing valves (PRVs) and temperature regulators help you manage steam, air and liquid systems safely and efficiently. And they ensure uninterrupted productivity—by maintaining constant pressure or temperature for process control.

As the name implies, a strainer helps screen out particulate matter in a piping system. Although steam traps get most of the glory, strainers also play an important role in the efficient operation of a well-designed system.

Armstrong offers strainers in a wide choice of sizes and materials to meet most pipeline straining requirements. All of our strainers are made to Armstrong's high standards and are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship or material.

Many industrial processes involve the removal of air/gas from a pressurized liquid. Armstrong air vents are ideally suited for this purpose. The float-operated design means the vents can instantly and automatically adjust to variations in gas flow and pressure. The air vents can handle gas removal from liquids with specific gravities as low as 0.40 and pressure to 2,700 psi (186 bar). Armstrong air vents are available in a wide variety of sizes, end connections and construction materials.

Liquid drainers go by many names. They are also known as

  • Compressed air drains
  • Condensate drainers
  • Air traps
  • Water traps
  • Dump valves
  • Float traps
  • Compressed air traps

Armstrong is a leading supplier of radiator products. Armstrong continues to serve the special needs of homeowners, hotels, commercial buildings, schools, universities–anyone who uses steam/hot water radiators for building heat.

Water carried with air into tools or machines where air is being used will wash away lubricating oil. This means excessive wear to motors and bearings and, in the end, higher maintenance expense. Without adequate lubrication, tools—especially pneumatic hammers, drills, hoists and sand rammers—will run sluggishly and inefficiently, because the wearing surfaces are limited in size and the accelerated wear creates air leakage.

Armstrong unfired steam generators (USGs) are designed to produce pressurized clean steam using boiler steam or high-temperature hot water as an energy source. Typical uses for this clean steam include humidification, sterilization, pharmaceutical applications and food processing.

Armstrong Piston Valves are full port forged steel isolation valves with a maximum operating pressure of 136 Barg/1973 psig and a maximum operating temperature of 427°C/800°F. The burnished piston and metal reinforced graphite rings provide leak-proof shutoff and allow Armstrong Piston Valves to be operated at higher temperatures, while also extending operating life.

Armstrong Piston Valves are available in Socket Weld, BSPT, and NPT end connections. Flanged ends can be supplied upon request.
